I am using this on a road bike with a 6700 Shimano compact crank. The rear derailleur is a Shimano SLX 9 speed 662. This wide range setup works well however at the low end the jump from 28 to 32 teeth is pretty big. Over all a good cassette and no issues. My preference would be to drop the 12 cog and have 28-30-32 spacing.
Cassettes? You want them to work, be quiet and shift easily and quickly. And not be a pain to remove and install -- the SRAM PG 1070 does all that and is in the sweet spot of price vs weight and bling. Good job SRAM!
The sram pg1070 cassette give the very smooth performance and it's very quiet. I'm very satisfy.
For a midrange model cassette this has to be the best value for money cassette around. Forget all this nonsense about lightness just for the sake of burning a hole in one's pocket. This cassette is light enough, it is robust and will give you everything that the Flagship 1090 can deliver and is smoother and quiter than it's dearer sibling and lots of dollars saved.
