Look Keo 2 Max Pedals

CAD

Look's brand new Kéo 2 MAX pedal as used by the Tour 2009 winner Alberto Contador and countless others. New for this model is an increased contact surface area and steel wear plate.

Lightweight:

At a mere 130g in composite the Kéo 2 MAX is one of the lightest pedals in its category. This has been achieved through the use of a carbon injection process (carbon model) allowing for weight reduction and improved durability.

Increased reliability:

Particular attention was focused on reliability and provided through features such as: a stainless steel cleat contact area, an oversized axle with dual seals, making this a pedal built to last. The new line of Kéo 2 MAX pedals maintains a low cleat contact height even with the use of a steel oversize axle. The pedal is built with two miniature ball bearings (12mm inner x 18mm outer diameters) and a needle roller bearing. LOOK axles are only approved once they have survived a million cycles at 100 revolutions per minute with a 90kg (198lbs) load at the centre of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (replicating a bump each revolution). This test largely surpasses current standards (reference NF EN 14781). Dual seals help to increase bearing longevity.

Adjustable Q-factor:

Thanks to 14mm of threads on the new LOOK axle, the Q-factor may be extended by 2mm with the use of specific washers available separately. Use of these specific washers results in a Q-factor of 55mm versus the original 53mm.

"Bigger platform and smoother float for Look's updated Kéo pedal..."

Look's ubiquitous Kéo road pedal receives a significant update in the new Kéo 2 MAX, with a wider composite body and co-moulded stainless steel upper plate that lends a more solid feel underfoot and less out-of-plane rocking compared to the original Kéo. When it comes for your mid-ride cafe stop, soft rubber pads on the front and back of the cleats help prevent embarrassing spills on slick floors.

Key Features:

  • A 12% larger contact area for increased efficiency, increased stability, comfortable stroke and peace of mind.
  • Supplied with Kéo Grip cleats (grey - 4.5 degrees of float).
  • CroMo axles.
  • Weight: 130g (Manufacturer claimed).
Range:
  • Keo 2 Max
Discipline:
  • Road

Great pedals at an unbelievable

Super stiff and light, it usually retail for 2-3x the price

Good pedals

I always use Look pedal. I've tried this pedal for 3 years. but there was no problem so far. Furthermore, It's very simple and easy to reparing and oiling. and the Price is very reasonable I think.

Keo 2 Max pedals

Purchased these in January 2017 for a new summer bike that. I didn't start using until March. Well after 800 miles these Keo 2 Max Pedals bearings are sounding awfull, knocking with a lot of movement where there shouldn't be any. The bearings on 1 side especially are knackered. I have an older set of basic Keo's purchased 10 years ago which don't sound as worn as these new ones. Very disappointed with these.

Great Pedal!

2nd set of these I've bought (damaged the existing ones in a black ice slip/crash...thanks Hackney Council), but nothing about the crashed set made me want to look elsewhere for a new pair. Spring adjustment is beyond simple and they hang well for clipping back in after a stop. Can deal with the extra strains of brakeless fixed gear riding too. Pro Bike Kit service was best in the business as always too!

Perfect Pedal for Roadies!

Strong and light pedal and easy to clip on! For the value, nothing else comes close to it. Reliability is all every rider wanted!

Look pedals

They arrived quickly, great service and they look awesome.

Pedals upgrade

I was mooving from SPD to LOOK (finnaly). It is a great upgrade. Pedals are stable and power transfer to pedals is much better. Price was excelent and shipping was super fast.

Great tri pedals

Fantastic pedals for cyclists and triathletes. The plastic cleats are great for triathletes who run with shoes on in the transition zone, and for anyone else that doesn't want to scratch up wooden floors in the house. Easy entry and exit, and the cleats are surprisingly durable. Good amount of float, and the price is right.

Nice!

Excellent product at a very agressive price!

Pedasls

I replaced the old style look pedals with the Keo 2 Max's and am very happy with the results. The keo's were easy to install and they saved about 1/3 of a pound. As usual, the Look pedals worked flawlessly and look neat. The price was well within my budget, and although I'm not overly concerned with weight, it's always nice to be able to reduce it. PS: I 'fall' way outside your age group categories at more than 3/4 ths of a century:)
