Selle Italia SLR TI 316 Superflow Saddle

It took 2 short 12 mile rides and 1 minor adjustment of the saddle to break in this saddle with Zero discomfort. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase and comfort ability being in the saddle again

Selle Italia SLR Superflow TI 316

The listing on the website said that the saddle has a leather cover. It does not. What can be done about this issue ?

Great saddle

The saddle looked brand new when I bought my used bike last year. At first it looked too aggressive and hard so I took it off immediately and replaced it with what I was used to riding. I put it back on a month ago and went on 3 short rides to get used to it and then I took it out for 75 miles. Very comfortable. And the very back 2 inches or so there seems to be a "flat shelf" and that's what I appear to be sitting on with my sit bones. I have the size large, 145 wide and it's awesome. I'm an older guy, 62 and lighter weight at 150 lbs.

Great saddle

If I return from a 2 hour ride and realize I did not notice the saddle it is perfect. This is a small, 131 mm width. I have another large that I have ridden for about 9 years (10,000 or 15,000 km) and is still in great shape. I am surprised but both sizes seem to work for me. This saddle should last a very long time. It fixes the numbness problem I have with many other saddles.

Great balance of weight and comfort

I bought this for use on my mountainbike, saving precious grams. It worked very well with minor discomfort only on long single track excursions (I tend to ride without chamois about 50/50). The rails flex nicely and sit well on the sit bones. However, those rails stiffen up and lose their effect in cool/cold weather. So, this is a summer saddle only.

Nice cut-out; hard on the backside

The saddle provides incredible relief on the sensitive areas, however, it is a very firm saddle which is hard on the backside at around the 40km mark. I am still in the early stages and will give it some more time for me to adjust. I have good chamois' in my bibs so that's not the issue. But as mentioned above if relief on the under parts is top priority this is a great saddle for that.

Second

It’s my second superflow saddle, use the first one for 5 years On my road bike, so the choice was Easy to upgrade my T-Lab Gravel bike X3 OEM saddle. Price was right as usual at PBK

Charl Wilson

I opted for some extra spend on my new wheels and have been struggling with perineum numbness from time to time. After some research I was directed towards the Superflow saddle and ordered it from the super efficient and competitive Probikekit. I can already recommend the Superflow after my first ride and consider this as one of my best investments. Comfort, performance and quality. Kudos !

Great But.....

I have used some form of Flite saddles for 30 years always great quality as is this one but,,,,, Folks coming from a Flite TM Flow beware that even on the S3 version of this saddle (130x275) it is wider mid point than the TM Flow L2 (145x275) Perhaps it is because of the wider channel? I do not know but on the SLR Super Flow it does start to flair out sooner going back from the nose than the TM Flow Not a lot & perhaps I will adjust but for now on seated climbs the extra width there is noticeable Just FYI in case anyone is coming from TM Flow to SLR SuperFlow

Excellent!

I've been riding with the original Sella Italia Nekkar saddle that came with my bike for 3 years and was looking for something that would put less stress on my prostate area. This was a great upgrade! It gave me everything I was looking for; it's much more comfortable and I have no pain or numbness even when riding for hours. The only drawback is riding in the rain - I don't have fenders on my bike, and road spray is directed right into the saddle cut-out, yielding what a pastry baker would call a 'soggy bottom.'
