The Ultremo ZX V-Guard features Schwalbe's HD Speed and RaceStar Triple Compound. A V-Guard now ensures puncture protection. The high-tech compounds improve rolling and cut resistance.
Triple Star Compound: Schwalbe have developed the Triple Compound a stage further. After numerous tests, lab and practical tests they have now engineered highly technical single compounds.
The base of the tyre has a super-fast, light compound that is positioned under the tyre's centre tread.
V-Guard is a Kevlar belt that runs all the way around the tyre under the base compound to protect against punctures.
The Ultremo ZX V-Guard is the best Ultremo there is!

Very finn tire ,good quality, easy to put on or take of time
Love these tires. I have been riding these for over a year and never had any issue. Plus, they are very easy to mount on the rim.
I've done 150KM all on hilly terrain. The grip in the corners was fantastic and they rolled great. They also look amazing on my bike. Totally changed the look. I saw a bit of an improvement of my overall times but I did notice that I didn't have quite the top speed coming down the hill. That might have been just a coincident tho. These tires will wear quickly but that's expected of them. Nothing extreme. Will buy again.
After 2000 kilometers of riding in wet and dry conditions I'm very pleased with these tires. I have found them to be just as good as any other brand I've used.
I bought these as a replacement for my GP4000S, which were out of stock at the moment. Wow - the way these tires roll is absolutely amazing. I cannot comment on puncture resistance, since I've only got about 200kms on them, but so far no cuts or gashes (which is not the same I can say about Vittorias or Michelins). I really like the feel of the tires - they grip and handle well. I'm about 65kgs though, so, much like anything, YMMV.
Good product, great price.the only thing to keep in mind is that these tires don't last as long as some others.
I've been a fan of schwalbe for years but not these tires. They have a good feel and rolling resistance but bulged and split where the coloured rubber stripes are and they were easy to flat. Did not last one season!
Thanks it's always a pleasure to buy from you.
Very fine tire, they are the best onthe road
I am about 73kilos, these tires are really fast and really smooth! They do wear a bit quicker than GP4000s and seem to cut up a bit, but I have several thousand kms on the tires and they are still going strong for me. Only one flat so far and I have gotten several flats with the gp4000s. The best part about these tires is that they are really easy to install, I have Campy Neutron Ultra wheels and some other tire brands are literally impossible to install on these wheels (Schwable works well for this)
What's not to like.
Bought a set to compare against the Conti GP4000s. Conti weights in at 205-210grams, Ultremo's at 190-195grams. Conti's are very good, but these are very impressive. I'm a 220lb rider that goes hard and I use these as a training tyre. I have found them extremely durable, puncture resistance is excellent and their performance is buttery smooth even at 120psi. Awesome grip and feel even in the howling wet. Like others have said, I don't understand reviews that criticize the durability, these are designed as race tyres so built for speed not for training...well knock me over with a feather as I've put 1000k's on them already and I can't see any discernible wear.
Will I put the Conti's back on...no. Will I order another set of the Ultremo's...you bet (but it will be a while yet).
My headline - the fastest, smoothest clincher tyre I have used..seriously.
