Ultimate commuting wheels

These are my second set of racing 7s. Really well made, completely true and stay true. Roll very well and bomb proof. A lot better than magic aksiums, thoroughly recommended, great service from probike.

Smooth, solid wheels

Well built quality wheels with great smooth low friction hubs. Gave 4 stars only because they are quite heavy, but 5 stars in every other respect. Perfect wheels for everyday riding.

Excellent deal on nice wheels!

I bought this for my commuter and they are perfectly true and roll very smoothly. In fact, they came truer than my mavic ksyrium elites. The only disappointment is I did not realize they were not straight pull spokes on the back freewheel side. I believe straight pull are a superior design and they have held up better than any spokes with the bend at the hub The wheels are a little heavy, but I do not care. I am hoping they will be durable and hold very true. That remains to be seen, but if they do, they are a great bargain

Below average quality

Having read reviews about these being a good commuting wheelset, I bought the 2012 model to replace an aging wheelset in the spring. It didn't take long for the rear wheel to go out of true. It's only a couple mm either way, but it's enough to be disappointed at the build quality. Given the literature about how expensive computer software checks and re-checks the wheels during the build process, I would have expected more. If I had a do-over (and some extra coin to throw around), I would spend more and get a decent wheelset.

For comparison my velomax/Easton Circuit wheels (paid around $350), which I've owned for 8 years and ridden thousands of kilometers over gravel, potholes, and whatever else I could throw at them haven't needed truing once.

Long story short, I'm sure there are better cheaper wheels out there.
