Gets you on the bike

I've used this computer for three months now and it's a dream. The Polar Personal Trainer online really helps you to set up goals and targets; and even if you don't use that it still logs every ride you do so you can see if you've been slacking. It's helping me to burn of some Easter calories. Shame the sensors cannot have the batteries replaced; but they do come with a one year warranty and should last around three according to Polar.
The computer can be set for three different bikes too. At the cost of £70 for the sensors for each additional bike it's going to be on my new machine for sure!

Really well made... Editors Rating 5/5

The first thing that you notice about the Polar CS500 CAD computer is the rather unusual shape; a square, but turned through 45 to make it more of a diamond shape in use. This isnt just a gimmick the readout of the main parameter can be bigger this way and it also fits nicely on the bars. The rocker mechanism on the mount which presses the buttons on the rear is brilliant.

The Polar CS500 CAD comes with everything you need to fit the computer to the stem or handlebars; the mounting unit is easy to fit and after quite a lot of miles of none too gentle cycling it still feels stable.

"Aligning the sensor with the Polar CS500 CAD could be a bit of a mission if your bike frame is oversized or in any way not bog standard, but once its done, its done..."

Its not cheap but you only have to look at it and pick it up to know it is really well made.
