Vittoria Latex Road Inner Tube

I riding my bike almost every day averaging ~300 km ~ 200 miles per week. I have this latex tubes for a month now. Every single day I had to check the pressure an adjust it. After a while it's just getting annoying. Yesterday when I was having my dinner, my inner tube on the front wheel exploded. I just got home 30 minutes before. I can't help thinking about how lucky I am. I trust my bike and I have no fear going over 80 km/h ~ 50 miles/h when I have a chance. No sign of any kind of damage on my Conti 4000S II. I would not recommend this clearly defective product to anyone! It can kill you! Luckyly I just bought 2 pcs. The other one from my rear wheel went straight to the garbage. Hope it helps. Ride safe!

valve stems...

I ordered 4 of these 2 months ago. So far I've gone through 2 and not for the reason you think...the valve stem break off. Never in my life have a I had a tire or tube do that before, and it's happened twice with these things. Very annoying problem.

Excellent product!

I was curious to try latex tubes given the lighter weight and the promise of better ride quality compared to butyl tubes, but was slightly concerned about latex's (web) reported fragility. I needn't be concerned at all. I've ridden 3000 km on the road in all sorts of conditions, including gravel roads and roads littered with debris, and haven't experienced a single flat, despite my rear tire being down almost to the cord. The ride quality is somewhat smoother than with butyl and the slight decrease in weight makes the bit feel a bit livelier as well. Additionally, experienced cyclists argue that latex is even more resistant to pinch flats and, since it is flexier than butyl, tends to deform and resist punctures better too. That seems to be my experience, having removed sharp debris from my tires' tread and having experienced no flats whatsoever. I'm definitely a convert! If you take care of installing the tubes properly with clean tires and rims, and adjust pressures for every ride, I see only upsides to using them!

One word: Wow!

It's hard to get excited about inner tubes, right? That's what I thought before I tried these latex tubes. However, the huge difference in ride quality compared to butyl tubes blew me away. It's night and day. Outstandingly smooth and secure. Never would I have guessed that an inner tube could make such a difference.
