The pedals do what they are suppose to do. Connect the shoe to the crank. In my hand they feel a little heavy but it's not something you really notice on the bike. They take some time to break in... What I meen is they don't spin very well in the beginning. Most pedals don't. I like the ajustment in tension. They seem to be made to last, something I look for and expect in my bicycle components. There are better pedals out there and you get what you pay for. I'm happy with my purchase!
Good deal and well made, suoer nice pedals. The only downside is I've waited too long for the shipment.
Bought those pedals to replace my Shimano SDP M540. It was the fist time that I use the road bike pedal. I was really please with the Shimano 105 PD-5800 Pedals-Carbon. Light weight and very smooth.
Great pedals! Came from a set of look pedals and these are so smooth to get in and out of and really enjoying the wider base. Really makes you feel like your power is transferring. Great service and price Probike
Great pedals. Easy to get into and out of. Even better with the sale price and bonus discount!
Awesome pair, love it. They are light and easy to use. I upgraded from SPDs and I prefer these ones. From the pair I received I had no problems with unlatching and latching. I adjusted the tension to the most least tension and it's been great, no problems whatsoever.
Not as smooth as the Dura Ace but for the price way better than my other more expensive Speedpaly light action.
before i begin to say anything about these pedals... i am very new to road bike world and never tried any other clipless pedals. As a beginner, I was a little scared to try clipless pedals on my new bike. I found this site by googling a lot of reviews and deals for the pedals and found out that this site has the best deal. On this sunday, i went for 65K ride and decided to use these pedals. I did fall about 3 times by forgetting my feet were clipped; however, the experiece with these pedals were awesome. They are light but extremly well built and due to the larger surface, it was quite easy to clip on. Also un-clipping wasn't too hard to get used to. Some review says, this may be too hard for beginners; however, my thinking is that it's better to get used to this one than other models that're designed for beginners. at least for me, i didn't want to spend extra $$ on pedals and this one will last a long time on my bike.
These pedals came highly recommended. They are my first attempt at using clipless pedals and I have to say, I've had several falls and I still can't manage to uncleat properly. I have the tension set to the lowest possible setting but don't have the strength in my ankle to twist out properly. I went to a local bike shop with them and they said that although they're wonderful pedals, they might be a bit too tight for a beginner to use. I will hold onto them and come back to them after I try some looser pedals. Shipping was fast and I'm very impressed with that - thanks!
I've only ever ridden on Shimano pedals, first the R550's, and then the 5700's. These are very much like the older 5700 except a tad lighter. Doesn't really matter to me. I'm no weight weenie. If I could have found a used pair of 5700's I would have bought those, but these were quite inexpensive to begin with, and with a 10% discount, a used pair of 5700 would have been close to the price of these new, and with clips. They've worked well in the past and I expect them to continue to work well in the future.
