The Continental Competition Tubular Road Tyre is the choice of tyre for pro road racers and triathletes. It's the most dependable tyre in the pro pelaton and has proven itself time and time again on the world stage, including Cadel Evans' win at the Tour de France in 2011.
With a combination of the 22mm dimpled Black Chili compound and reliable construction, the Competition tubular increases grip while also lowering rolling resistance. All this technology doesn't affect wear and 4 layers of puncture protection provides additional durability.
A layer of cut Vectran under the tread of the nylon breakers to reduce weight and improve rolling resistance and comfort. Handmade in Germany, the Competition Tubular is made by the seamstress team and production staff in Korbach. - A.D.

Maybe a bit too solid. Does not ride as well as the comparable Veloflex Criterium or Carbon (which use latex tubes and exhibit a more pliable sidewall). Stick well in corners and decent durability/puncture resistance. The Pro model ridden within the pro ranks uses a latex tube, but they're near impossible to obtain and cost a fortune. In my experience, these butyl Competitions fall short of Veloflex.
Everything about Pro Bike Kit is great. The tubular tires ordered perform wonderfully.
Best in class tyre. I was trying to use other brands and switching back to my preferred choice.
Great tires been using them for years. Good in all conditions. Good price. Eric
An absolutely brilliant tub. Service from Probikekit top notch
Lightness and grip is very good. In particular, the trust goes from a corner. If you tire of trouble Recommended.
Been riding Conti Sprinters for 20 years, finally got interested in their top-of-the-line Competition tires when I got a good deal. They're awesome. Helped me get my best average. And they look, dare I say, "sexy". Suggest getting the thinnest/lightest 19cc tires instead of 22 or 25, if you're going to spend good money on it.
Have over 400 mi on the tire w/o any problems and it still look brand new. I ride in NYC streets and bike trails. Very good grip in wet conditions. 105 psi on front and 115 psi on rear. I also put 2 oz of tire sealant into the tire. Extremely difficult to put on following manufacturer's instructions otherwise 5 stars.
what more can i say about these awesome tubs. can't really beat it. if the pros use them, we nobodys should use them as well. great value.
I have been using these tubular continentals and after 4 yrs of racing they are getting a bit smooth so it was time to replace them. Great tires, very fast, and in all that time not even one flat. Chains are also a great price, always buy 3 or 4 at a time and change them of once a year or if I put on a compact and shorten a chain, when the compact comes off a new chain goes on. Remember, chains are a lot cheaper than casettes and chain rings!
