The star in the peloton!
For the coloured GP 4000 tyres, the activated silica compound improves the handling at stability limits and gives great rolling resistance. The anti-tear formula in the rubber compound prevents tread brittleness while increasing mileage performance. The extra special thing about the GP 4000 and GP 4000 S is their puncture protection made from Vectran® liquid crystal fibres. The patented Vectran® Breaker reconciles the conflicting goals of low weight, low rolling resistance and top puncture and cut resistance in a fascinating manner.

Best tires I have found so far. Have only had two flats in the last four years and they last a long time if rotated, I ride them until I can see the threads. Once broken in they have amazing wet traction and inspire nothing but confidence. I used to run the GP4000s version but found they punctured much more easily and would have to retire them due to damage long before they wore out.
Good lightweight grippy tires. One of the best option for touring in 650c size.
I have been running these tires for about 3 years on both my Trek Madone road bikes one in Canada and the other one in Thailand. I ride 20,000 Km+ per year roughly 10,000 Km in Canada and 10,000 in Thailand. I have had only 3 flats in the last 20,000 Km and the last set I had on my bike in Thailand had 9000 Km on them before I replaced them as threads were pulling out on the sidewalls. These tires handle all road conditions well from wet roads to high speed cornering. They are also easy to mount on the wheels.
Easy to peddle, glides over pavement, fairly easy to mount. On usually difficult campy rims.
