Michelin Pro 4 Race Service Course Clincher Road Tyre

CAD

The Michelin Pro 4 Service Course Tyre provides a high level of performance in any conditions. This tyre provides the perfect blend of sports performance and long-lasting wear. Enhancing the speed, safety and agility, the Pro 4 Service Course tyre also reduces the rolling resistance compared to its predecessor, the Pro 3 Race.

Not only is the Pro 4 Service Course safe, it's also 16% faster when cornering in wet conditions. This is possible thanks to the dual-compound technology with its wider lateral bands for excellent grip at leaning angles, along with the new elastomers and silica for additional shoulder grip. Michelin Pro 4 Service Course sets the standard for high performance, long-wearing tyres. - A.D.

As advertised

I’ve been using Pro4 SC for two years. They run smoothly, track well and provide good tread wear for a performance tire. Previously I used Continental gp4000. Comparing the two I have to say the Michelin last longer, less cuts and nicks, no punctures so far, are cheaper, and maybe have the edge on performance. I weigh 186 lbs run 95 lbs of air in the front and 100 in the rear. On easy recovery rides I use 90/95 psi. I use Michelin latex tubes. They do require topping off every ride but offer better road feel and are lighter then rubber inner tubes. These are strictly high performance road tires. If your looking for an all around road/gravel tire this is not for you.

Wear fast

These tires only lasted for 1327 Km and were worn out that's only 3 weeks of riding for me. The remaining rubber was soft and would pick up small rocks which worked there way into the tire and caused flats also hitting any bigger rocks it was instant flat, Switched back to Continental Grand Prix 4000 s which last well over 6000 Km

Michelin Pro 4

I've used many brands of tires until discovering the Michelin Pro series. I started using them about 16 years ago. I generally get 3500 miles out of the rear. These tires grip very well in the dry and wet. I have a blue and white Trek 6200 and order the blue sidewalls, which look real sharp. I have had no difficulties of any kind with this model of tire.

Mich Pro4 Race SC clincher

Having used another (German) brand of tyre for both racing, training and commuting for a number of years I was interested to see how the Michelin's compared. They were easy to put on, seem solid and quick. Initial impressions have been favorable.

Pro 4 tyres

Easy ordering. Fast reception. Do not know yet if they will endure our ronds well!

Mr.

I am VERY pleased. Everything ordered has ALWAYS arrived in the time estimated.. That makes racing and riding much less complicated.

Michelin Pro 4 Service

I've ridden the Michelin Pro series from the 2 through the 4 with varying results. The one constant has been ride quality, which has always been good. Durability is all together a different matter. None of the series has been particularly robust although I did get 3,400miles on one pair of Pro 3's. I'm relatively light, 140-150, so my weight hasn't been the major factor. I also got over 5,000 on a set of Conti 4000 S tires and, though there is much to love about them, I prefer the ride quality of the Michelins. I would conclude by saying if you get a good price go for the Michelins but if durability is an issue and money is not buy the Contis.

Disappointing

Had great performance from the Michelin Pro3's so decided to upgrade to the Pro4's...big mistake. Had a sidewall blowout in first 100 miles of riding on smooth roads on rear tire, and 2 punctures in 2 days on front tire. Great ride feel but at the expense of durability. Will be looking to purchase a different brand soon!

fast!

Love these tyres. Fast and pretty good puncture protection.

Michelin clincher

These tires mount easily and grip the road well The wear rate has yet to be determined.
