awesome set of wheels

To be fair, I haven't put a ton of miles on these wheels yet, as I bought them at the end of the race season, but the miles I've put on them make me smile. I have a bike that I've put together from all high end select parts. I had built it with Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels, which have been great, but figured adding aero with no wt penalty would be great. These wheels feel smoother than my Zeros, while still firm, and riding them in 20+ MPH winds is very manageable. They do make a fair amount of noise on heavier braking but it is a trade I am willing to make. In short, they look incredible, tires mount easily, they feel great on the road, and seem manageable in winds. I'll have to wait until the spring races to see if they give me the extra advantage I am hoping for.

Simply the best

Everything about these wheels scream quality. The stickers are not stickers, logos are printed on the rim. Brake track is nicely machined with grooves for water dispersion. Hubs with USB ceramics are smooth as silk. QRs are the best in the business, the brake pads work extremely well and they come with very nice wheel bags. The wheels are a huge improvement over my Zonda C17s and also my Zipp Firecrest wheels from the past. They are extremely stiff and offer astonishing power transfer to the ground compared to the two wheels above (Zipps were incredibly soft in comparison 808 and Zondas feel sluggish). Despite this they are also comfortable as I just took them on a 130Km sweltering ride around the city (Pothole central and at 35c). Carbon rims are notorious for generating a ton of heat under braking. My Zipps with SwissStop Yellow pads would be boiling after a few hard city descents (You have no choice other than to brake hard in these situations). They were tubular so no risk of a tube blowing up. By comparison this Boras run WAY cooler. They are barely hot to the touch after some hard descending and rolling. Which means the new resin and pads are working wonderfully together. Buying these wheels I had a concern that I wouldn't notice enough of a difference to justify the price. The truth is the difference is huge, I wouldn't go back to training wheels unless the conditions outside are really bad. Service from ProBikeKit is simply the best, definitely on of my top cycle shops!

Campagnolo Bora One 50 wheelset

Beautiful to see but better to ride. Fast. Was always a bit hesitant about carbon rims. I was wrong. Breaking just as good as alloy. Waited 3months before review so can say with confidence that they have been thoroughly tested. They even sound cool as you are breaking!
