Awesome Value

I picked these wheels as an upgrade to a set of Vuelta Prolites that came with my Kestrel Evoke. Out of the box, the Zondas shows the craftsmanship you would expect from Campagnolo. Wheels made a big difference in rolling speed and reduced weight off the bike. With about 2200 miles on the set, I was on a flat road, I got off the saddle and to pick up speed when one rear spoke gave in. It was a hassle getting a replacement spoke and my bike was shelved for 10 days. After that incident the wheels still roll very nicely BUT for some reason, I have to true the rear wheel every couple of rides, which I never had to do with the Vueltas and also keeping in mind that I m 5'6 157 pounds well within the specs for these wheels.

Good wheels for the money

4

Yes it took a couple weeks for the wheels to arrive on the West Coast, but no complaint as I was not in a hurry. First impression, the Campy quality of build was noticeable in checking the hubs, rims, and spoke tension. And you cannot beat the originator of the quick release skewer. After the first few rides, I will say Zonda's roll great and it was noticeable immediately compared my previous set of wheels. Very smooth feel with Michelin 25c tires, and quick acceleration. They were stiff enough when out of the saddle, as the power transfer from the pedals to the wheels seemed pretty good, both on the flats or on a hill. Descending was reassuring as the Zonda's are very stable at a fairly high speed. I hope they last as my 98 kilos are hard on equipment, and with these wheels being fairly light, time will tell. Four stars for now--if they last then I would go to five.

Campagnolo Zonda

4

A very good value wheel set, reportedly: virtually the same as Fulcrum R3's, but cheaper as you have the option to get straight forward clinchers with campagnolo instead of only 2 way fit with Fulcrum Previous wheels: Fulcrum R5's from 2012. These are noticeably stiffer and more reactive, especially when goin uphill. They look pretty cool and have less of a freehub click than the fulcrums. They also produce less wind noise which suggests they're more aero? They have a Matt black finishwhichdoesnt quite have the same quality feeling as the fulcrums and the stickers seem like they may be prone to peel off after a while. Cosmetics aside, they are top wheels for an excellent price. Recommended as a excellent alround upgrade. Very fast delivery from PBK.

In the Zonda

Light and responsive, these wheels roll.... straight out of the box true and meet all your expectations for a Campagnolo product. If you need a good set of mid-levels and don't need to chew up your race carbons these are the wheels for you!

capable wheels

Very capable wheels, awesome cornering capabilities. Fitted it with Conti 4000 series tires 23mm. I am 200lb , so this set is working great for me, riding the foothills in Colorado, ascending and descending on a regular basis close to Rocky National Park. I replaced my stock Giant PR2 wheels on a Giant Defy bike, PR2's cracking problems, I do not expect these wheels to have the same problem, they solid. For being to stiff from other reviewers, take your pick, I like a stiff wheel for climbing with my weight. Got 300 miles on my new set and so far awesome, just ride a slightly lower tire pressure with the Conti 4000 series (I will go with 25mm next time). I had them up to 56mph and they feel incredibly safe. I believe I will at least get 15k miles out of them trouble free if not more. If you like riding average above 20mph on regular basis, this is the best wheel set for the $.

Campag Zondas rock

Despite taking a couple of weeks to arrive, they were worth the wait. I upgraded from some entry level Shimano wheels and have felt a very noticeable improvement. They roll well, are lighter and faster. The reviews I read really helped choose these. My times have improved and I really feel like it's given me an edge! Great all round wheel and looks good. Can't go wrong, albeit I've only had them for a few weeks.

Great wheels for the money

5

I bought these as an upgrade to my Mavic Askium S wheels that came with my bike. First impressions are that they are lighter and slightly deeper rimmed. On the bike they look and feel fantastic, lighter and a bit quicker than the askiums although whether they are actually faster over a ride I'm not sure. Excellent upgrade for the money if your bike came with some low end wheels. Next day delivery from PBK was excellent.

Fond of Zonda

I bought these to complete a De Rosa Dual build. I wanted to make sure and use good quality Italian parts for the build. These wheels are incredible deal. My other bike has American Classic 420 Aero wheels. In comparison the Campagnolo wheels flex so much less when I am out of the saddle. The look of them is great however I peeled off the decals for a cleaner finish. They are not the lightest or most exotic wheels out there but for the money they seem like bomb proof and fast. Bearing feel so smooth and the straight pull spokes are a great design. Couldn't be happier
