Fulcrum Red Wind XLR 50mm CULT Wheelset - Clincher

The much anticipated Red Wind range from Fulcrum has bought news levels of performance to the aero wheel market at amazing price points. Aluminium braking surfaces integrated with carbon fibre rims has created a range of lightweight, aerodynamic wheels with excellent braking performance in all conditions that redefine performance in this category.

This wheelset features a 50mm deep rim and CULT ceramic bearings. Deep enough to provide a significant aero advantage but still usable as a do-it-all option, this wheelset is a fantastic all-rounder.

• The integrated aluminium braking surface and carbon rim design produces a rigid, lightweight and aero rim with excellent braking performance, superior durability and responsive handling.
• This is a clincher wheelset, only suitable for use with clincher tyres.
• CULT (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) ceramic bearings housed in an aluminium hub body have a drastically reduced friction coefficient and are much smoother than standard bearings, only a small amount of oil is required for lubrication as the bearings are extremely corrosion resistant and hard wearing.
• MoMag design removes all holes from the rim, removing the need for rim tape, decreasing the weight of the wheel and increasing the strength.
• Aero spokes use Fulcrum's 'Two-to-One' design to give greater torsional stiffness and reactivity for a wheel that transfers all of your power to the road.
• DRMC (Directional Rim Spoke Coupling) design means the rim, spokes, nipples and hubs are correctly aligned and have an equal tension throughout, ensuring reliability.
• Dynamic balance rim design and oversize flanges ensure stiffness and wheel balance for consistently smooth and efficient power transfer.
• Self-locking oversize aluminium nipples help to reduce the peripheral mass of the wheel, creating a reactive wheel which requires little adjustment (if any!).
• Aluminium hub body gives excellent lateral stiffness without weight penalty.
• The new aerodynamic wheel release has a steel spine with an eccentric lever, ensuring the correct tension is reached easily.
