Great Box at a Great Price

5

I bought a ProBike box for my wife recently and we are both delighted with it. It is very robust, comes with spare spindles to secure the wheels and is slightly smaller than my Bike Box Alan which is great as my wife's bike is a lot smaller than mine, so fits brilliantly with room to spare. Also lots of spare room for other kit and tools if required when cycling on holiday. We would definitely recommend a ProBike Box if you are thinking about purchasing a bike box. The price was excellent too as we were lucky enough to get a box that was on offer. We are both very happy with our purchase.

great box but needs instructions

4

This IS a great box! That said, the instructions are totally useless. There is a video on the BonzaBox website and it is of only modest help. The skewers come with lots of pieces with no instruction on how to use all the pieces and parts. ditto for the supports. Then it took a while to figure out how to position the stem and the handlebars to get it all to fit in the case. I am thinking of making a youtube video when I re-load the box. Easily would have given this a 5 star rating if it had a video or better instructions on how to load. Bottom line is that now I can load it quickly (now that I have it all figured out) and it appears to be a strong and very well designed box. Good price and delivery was on time. Thank you PBK!

PBK Bike Travel Case

5

Received this travel case today. It looks solidly built, and rolls nicely. There are holes in the handles for a luggage tag. I also ordered a vinyl address label, from a different on-line site, to paste onto the outside. The latches have a ring to add a cable tie or lock. One thing is unclear from the directions: how to secure the skewers. My guess is that 3 pieces (end cap, metal ring, and spring) remain on the outside. The remaining threaded nut and spring go on the inside of the case, with the spring between the case and the wheel.

great at first view

5

the bag was delivered quickly and the first impression is excellent. It looks quite tough and even the details seem pretty strong. I haven't tested it yet on a flight trip but i am optimistic it will handle well. My TT bike will definitely fit. I have my doubts whether the support rods fitting on wheel skewers will stay still but it will probably be ok. It's light, it fits all dimension registrations and most importantly, it's a bargain for the money. I can hardly believe how good it looks for this price

PBK BIKE TRAVEL CASE

4

Recently bought the PBK bike case for my forthcoming charity road cycle challange to Grand Canyon USA. Delivery was prompt and efficient and all arrived safe and sound in a big protective cardboard box, have practiced several times to strip down pack and reassemble bike which I can now master in under one hour. At first I thought the wheels seemed a little loose in lid of case but a simple sheet of bubble wrap behind them set my mind at rest. Pedals off, Bars off at stem, and I don't even have to undo seat post ( small sized Boardman Elite SLR) then all into case and tightens with industrial strength Velcro straps provided in abundance. Believe me, once in, the frame is locked solid it has no contact with the wheels in lid as the separating foam barrier provided prevents this and the whole thing is locked tight. Two plastic struts also separate the lid from base to prevent a crushing hazard. Multi catches to fasten everything shut and standard cable ties fit to secure case, fairly robust caster wheels with ball bearings seem to work well. Very pleased so far... Off to the airport to try it out transatlantic! Will follow up review on return

Great bit of kit!

I bought this to take on a long distance trip, it's surprisingly light and there was no damage to my bike at all. It was also really easy to pack the bike and everything else in.
