bottle cages

Great value for the price. They do the job they are designed for and hold up well, especially for this low price.

I bought 2 black Tacx cages. The are just the same as the picture. After for 2 weeks using, I like them for simple design and color, reasonable price.

Good value but not the most durable

3

I've bought 3 of these over the last 4 or so years and might get at least one more. They are a great value for the weight (versus their carbon version or other carbon cages). However, I have had 2 break. The first separated where the cage attaches to the bracket that the bolt secures. I tried to glue it but it wouldn't stay under use. On the other, the lower tab that the bottle rests on broke off during a race. I don't remember any particular bump, and afterwards I found other small stress cracks in the bracket. Luckily I caught the bottle before it ended up in the chainring. I put a metal "L" bracket in in the tab's place until I buy another replacement. I may try a Williams Cycling carbon cage instead at similar weight and cost.

Eh...

I purchased 2 of these and liked them for a while since they are so lightweight. Unfortunately there were some issues:

- The area which is mounted on to the frame caused damage to my carbon LeMond frame. Use washers to fix this issue.

- It is pretty hot here in AZ and one of the cages became distorted while I was out on a ride. I had to heat it up to get it back to shape a bit.

- Finally one of the tabs broke on the bottom. Had to glue it back on.

Although I initially liked these cages I'll be buying different ones in the future!

Good bottle cage

Great bottle cage for use with my Camelbak podium bottles. Holds them perfectly. Only problem I had was the bottom tab braking off after a couple years use. Nothing a little epoxy resin couldn't fix but not something you want to happen mid ride.

Look nice, function well, short life

2

The tab at the bottom of the cage that stops the bottle from sliding through snapped off after only two years use. This one was mounted on the downtube (steep angle.) I ride on some rough roads with 650 ml bottles which might have contributed somewhat. For the lifespan, not worth the trouble to keep replacing although they look nice, function well and keep the bottles clean of powdered aluminum...

Lightweight & robust

4

I have 4 of these, two black and two silver on different bikes.

They're lightweight and robust, grip the bottle well - the bottles end-up a bit scuffed but they have never vibrated out.

The bracket on one broke after about 5 years so I just replaced with another.

Can't see the point going for silly-expensive carbon cages when these are about same weight and work so well

Mixed opinion

3

While I really like the look of these cages on my bike I've run into the same issue as another reviewer: namely the plastic mounting bracket snapped after just a couple months of use. The second cage has held up just fine. I'd like to see a stronger part used for mounting and they'd be perfect.

For the U.S. riders, PBK has these at a great price. I could not find them in the states for such a great total price.

Lightweight, stylish, used by the pros - what more to say...

5

I've bought several of these cages now and have never had a problem! Approaching the weight of some carbon fibre cages - they are surprisingly durable.

Fits elite bottles very well, and grips over pot-holed roads without vibration.

Two slight cautions (very slight) - they do grip the bottle tightly - this can make it difficult to remove if using the cage on the seat tube of the frame. The last caution - ensure you use cage bolts with a small head as they fit inside the mount - I couldn't use my Bianchi bolts as the head was too wide.

I now have 6 - two for each of my road bikes, and two for my mountain bike. Need I say anymore...

Light + good price + looks good

5

I have 2 of these cages. 1st one for about 2 years and the other one for 1 year. Both still look new and no breakage or cracks. Fits my specialize big mouth water bottle and camelbak podium bottles perfectly. No problem with bottle ejecting even going over rough bumps.

Great price for the same weight as some more expensive carbon cages.

Looks is personal taste but I like them.
