About Cyclo-cross

With the road cycling Tour season having ended, our heads turn to cyclo-cross and the Autumn Winter cycling season where here at ProBikeKit, we have an extensive range of cyclo-cross gear to get you started.

In order to race, you must have a cyclo-cross bike which is not dissimilar to a road bike. It has drop handlebars and looks like a road bike, although the cyclo-cross frame tends to have a larger gap between the fork and wheel. Cyclo-cross wheels are also unique to the sport, with them being manufactured to withstand tough conditions. This is where cyclo-cross tyres also differ with them being thicker so that they can grip in even the muddiest of courses.
