Saddle

4

Saddle fits well; strong, firm, comfortable, an excellent product; ideal for road bike, provided padded tights are worn. So far have only tested on short distances; am confident that longer rides will be equally satisfactory. Very happy with the 'feel' of the saddle, and am confident to have selected this product.

Just as described. A little heavier than I was looking for but , overall, it is very comfortable and seems to perform as designed...to relieve pressure in crotch area.

Great saddle!

After trying several different saddles to help alleviate numbness I have found the solution. Cut is large but the saddle fits me perfect and NO crotch numbness and less pressure on my prostate! My urologist will be pleased;)

Relieves Numbness

4

Saddle arrived on time and in good condition. Have ridden the saddle six times and the large cutout really relieves any numbness on sensitive parts which is why I wanted this saddle. The saddle is a bit hard and I find after 25 miles my sit bones are sensitive. So they may get used to it with a few more rides or perhaps the gel model will be better. However, at this point I am satisfied because it fixes the numbness problem and would recommend this saddle.

Great Saddle

I've only put about 100 miles on the saddle (2 rides), but it's been very comfortable so far. The acclimation process has been particularly fast. My only concern prior to riding was whether or not the little "wings" with the SLR logo would get in the way. Fortunately, those concerns were unfounded.

Best saddle made!

5

After MANY years of cycling I have finally found the most comfortable saddle made. I know everybody is different anatomically and saddles are very individualized, but it would be well worth your time to go test one. Selle doesn't make "one fits all" saddles but rather an assortment in this model. With a large cutout I no longer suffer from the numb "jewels" syndrome and the design allows for easy movement. Don't wait! Go try one!!!

Just purchased and mounted this new saddle. I have wider than usual ischial tuberosities (sit bones) so finding a saddle that is not only wide enough, but also has a flatter profile across the back is important. I must say I have been please so far with this saddle after about 450 km. The large perineal cutout does relieve discomfort in that area. I do find that with some bib shorts, however, depending on the shape and style of the chamois, that there can be some pressure points at the edge of the cutout, but this is generally not an issue. Quality of manufacture is the usual high grade expected for Selle Italia. I have owned and raced on several SI saddles over the years (Max Gel Flow, Trans Am, etc.) and this one is not only light, but pretty comfortable. Hopefully it will prove to be as durable as my previous saddles. The leather cover is very supple and I imagine it may not take much abuse (e.g. abrasion) but that is definitely not a reason to avoid this saddle. I should add that it is also one of the lightest saddles I have used. Another plus.

Excellent saddle for numb nuts

Saddle seems hard at first, but after a few miles the reduction in perineal pressure is a welcome relief compared to previous non-holed saddles tried! Highly recommended!

Finally no sore bum

5

This is my 6th seat having tried various Fizik, Specialised, SMP and other popular saddles. I'd get sore at around 50km, so a long ride was not overly enjoyable. This seat is perfect. Sitting up and down on the drops, no pain at all.

This is my first non Specialized seat so I bought the seat without seeing it in real life. I had just gotten a new Wilier Cento Uno SR and the fit was a little more leaned forward than my previous bike. The cut out solved a "crushing" problem and the seat is very comfortable after the first few rides. It is very well made with a leather cover, Ti rails and mixed plastic/carbon base. It is also light which doesn't really matter as I am not! Needless to say, I'd recommend others to look at this saddle as part of their buying choice.
