Smooth tire
4I have been using Michelin Pro 4 Endurance tires for a few years (more on those later), but wanted to try a range a little lighter and higher performance. They were extremely tight and difficult to mount, my reason for not giving them a 5 star rating. I have only ridden them 4 times, but have found them to be very smooth and responsive, and with a minimum of bounce when going over bumps. One tip, if you buy them: Cut off the injection moulding tabs with a nail clipper. They are so long, and protrude out the sides, that they rubbed the inside of my fork, making an incredibly annoying sound for my first ride. The Pro 4s were extremely durable, and never punctured, and these tires have similar tech, so I hope they will be similarly tough. If you are also considering Pro 4 Endurance tires, keep in mind that they are much wider than the size listed. I had 25mm, but they wound up measuring closer to 27mm or 28mm. This is an issue if you have a frame and fork with very tight wheel clearence. I have a very tight Easton fork, and there was only about 1.5mm clearance to the inside of the fork crown. Leaves and debris would get easily stuck. The Power Competition tires are much narrower, and if anything seem more like 24mm.

Quality seems to be declining
1When Michelin first introduced the new Competition tire I got on board and have used this tire exclusively since. I was consistently getting 900+miles without much issue regarding flats. On a positive note, it is a fast tire and looks impressive. However, I had a sidewall blowout on the rear tire with about 500 miles a week ago. I thought Ok this is an anomaly so I just replaced that with another brand new Michelin Competition tire. Well I had another sidewall blowout yesterday but this time the tire had only 111 miles (Strava tracked). I always pump the tires to 115 lbs since I weigh about 220 lbs. I am very disappointed in the Michelin Competition tire. Perhaps they had a bad batch but I don't care. I have a brand new tire left over and I am not even going to put these on. I have lost all confidence in the Michelin Competition and now looking at other brands.

Quality supple tyres
5Have used the tyres for 3 months and so far quite impressed. Using the 25mm tyres and previously have been on both 23mm and 25mm conti gp4000sII; the Michelins do feel more supple/comfy. It feels as fast as the conti’s including cornering grip. Only difference I could tell is while climbing, I need to shift more weight to the back to prevent wheel slippage, didn’t seem to have this issue with the conti’s; not a big issue though. Durability seems pretty good as I have not had any tyre cuts or punctures with the daily commuting (all weather) plus weekend rides. Have even taken it on a gravel ride through fire trails with rocky ground. They inflate to 27mm on my old 15mm internal width wheels and 27.5mm on my new 19mm internal width wheels FYI for those worried about frame clearances.

Michelin Power comp tires
5I have been using Michelin tires for well over 20 years, these tire rock, they even coast faster..My present set 700x25 have over 3500 miles thats over 5600 k..There worn but still have some life left in them according to the wear indicator.. A great option for more speed and pedaling ease
