Michelin Power Road tubeless.

I decided to go a bit wider so bought these in 28mm to replace my 25mm Yksion tubeless tyres that I was very happy with. I've placed them on my Mavic Ksyrium alloy rims which was quite a challenge! I needed very rigid tyre levers and a fair bit of effort to get them on. Not sure if they'd be as difficult with other rims. They inflated very easily once on. I find the ride quality and grip to be excellent. I bunny hop speed bumps on a local downhill at speed and haven't had any issues. The only negative is they deflate quite quickly when not in use compared to the Yksions . I have to pump my tyres up before pretty much every ride. They've only been on a couple weeks so not sure if that'll improve with time but it's not too much of an issue all things considered. I'm very happy with them at this stage.

MICHELIN POWER TUBELESS ROAD TYRE

4

Same to fit like any other road tyre ,in that, one rolled on with thumbs and one needed a lever on the last bit fitted on GIANT SLR1 rims. Both beads seated well with a confident air blast. Unlike several tubeless tried brands they seem to have a more porous sidewall and instead of the 20-30mls of sealant they required 50-60mls before they hold steady PSI and even then I am back into the routine of pumping air prior every ride which was not required with prior tubeless brands. 28c are exactly 28C at 93kg rider with 78psi front. 80psi rear. Excellent tyres when it comes to comfort and grip, wearing well after 400klm. Besides the extra sealant required Michelin have nailed the overall feel of what a fast road tyre should be for the modern tubeless disc brake bikes of today, Buy a big bottle of STANS and purchase when discounted and I think you well be very happy with these new Michelin tubeless

Easy fit but come up smaller than expected

I've been riding Michelin Pro4 and Power Endurance for years, always on 28c. What I loved about those tyres was, apart from being the perfect all season allrounder, they blow out to 29.5-30.5mm (depending on rim width). As a bigger guy (188cm, 86kg), I really loved the grip and comfort from those big bags. Unfortunately, these new Power Race TLR 28c do not bag out like Michelin tyres of the past. On my 19mm internal rims they measure exactly 28mm, the same as 25c Pro4s. That said, these are lovely tyres. The stiffer sidewalls of the 4ply TLR means they can be run at lower pressure, making them supple but still supportive. They are not the easiest to fit but that is expected given they are tubeless. I had no problems installing, just needed a tyre lever to get the last bit in. Inflated no problem with a handpump amd they have held air well with 40-50ml sealant.

Nice tyre and easy to install. So far tested around 150km and the tyre is grippy and comfortable.
