Perfect fit, no velcro, well-placed, sensible padding, subtle branding

5

These are now my favourite gloves. Their snug fit goes knuckles to wrist without velcro. They are sturdily constructed and have survived me tearing them off several times without snapping a thread. They have a lot of padding. That may not be your thing but you should know that the padding is well-placed. It feels like it belongs. Castelli stuff is often known for excessive branding — scorpions visible from space etc etc — but these gloves, in black or grey can be worn with anything without committing any cycling fashion crimes.

Not cheapest, but worth it

5

The most I've ever paid for gloves, but the quality and padding are well worth it. I would have preferred a velcro closing, but the extended tab helps getting them on and they roll off easily enough. OK, they end up inside out, but not a problem. Also, the suede nose wipe strip is the softest I've ever had. I would definitely buy these again.

Excellent

I have had these for a month or so, and have to say they're my favourite short-finger gloves. Tight fit, comfy, and very grippy. I have the black ones, and they have a red tint to the main fabric.

Good bit of kit

These gloves are very well made, and the black ones have a bit of red underlying the stretchy material on the back of the hand, which is quite cool. They fit well if you use the sizing guide. The pull tabs between the 3rd and 4th fingers are OK - don't work quite as well as the 4th finger loops on my other gloves. The padding is good, but not amazing. I'm prone to ulnar nerve numbness, and whilst these are fine for shorter rides, after about 50-60 km I start getting baby finger tingling, as with my other gloves. All that said, they're quality gloves and I don't regret the purchase. But if you're looking for something with really heavy-duty padding, these aren't it.

Very comfortable

I do like Castelli gear - it's ultimately very functional as well as being smart. These gloves are just that - they are very comfortable in all bar positions having padding in the right places and they look good. They're easy enough to get on and off as well. I went for a slightly larger size because I prefer a relaxed fit. I'm very happy with them.
